Are they stupid or something? Halak for 2 prospects. Who cares if one was a 1st round pick. Can't believe this is my favorite team! I need to take over the GM job there. I'll send my resume to the Molsons.

Once Subban and Eller are found on the PP together you will be singing a different song.
They also get a big body in Schultz. I suspect they will be looking hard for Charlie Coyle at the draft.

Scotty Bowman said last year in speaking of the CH "not trade Carry Price" and a scout in the NHL also said last year "if the CH is on the trade block Halak, 7-8 teams will be interested. If the CH is on the trade block Price, 29 teams will be interested! It sums up what I think of all this!
And I think that Pierre Gauthier (Canadian GM) is not an idiot and he was back two good young players.

Lars Eller will be very good by the way but for now Halak he's ahead...If I was Gauthier I would ask for Berglund or Oshie or Perron.

Habs went right after Eller, according to the Blues. He fits the profile of a team contending with the cap. Young guy with upside who's shown it, still on his ELC. As a Habs fan myself, I like the deal. But I'm a Price guy, so...

Bonehead trade. Poor Bob Gainey probably wants his job back.
