No way for me to do 2 seasons in the same year. During summer I have other things to do . Forget me for the 2 seasons

As Jason stated, this being a NHL SIM league, it doesn't make sense having guys go up a year, to maybe go down, and then go up, and then go down... You get my drift?

just as a note, since i do this, the shittiest things are:
1) the making sure that ages don't go up in the Sim for year 2 within the 2nd season 2) developing a plan to deal with contracts going forth and the current contracts set, because you now have 2 seasons for every actual year advanced 3) if you're using STHS, which we do, you cant use the history functions of the sim very well

I would also like to add that how would we run an entry draft? After simming 2 seasons in 1 year, we would be ahead of the NHL and we would run out of draft eligible players. Then we would have to figure out who is available for the 2012 when we should only be worried about the 2011 draft.
Again this doesn't make sense.

The draft could be done during the season running after the draft. Leagues running 2 seasons in 1 year allow only odd # picks in one draft and the even # picks in the next season. Somebody just got engaged to do 10 fold the work this should take. I do not like the 2 seasons in 1 concept. I can't see my team playing twice as many games when they a hard time playing 1 season. I would have to double my rosters to accommodate the injuries.

the entry draft depends on the fall/winter season jason.
i dont unerstand why its a problem i was in a league like that for 5 years, never a problem, but its ok.

It doesn't make any sense to have 2 sim seasons to 1 NHL season. As others have stated, it is the summer where majority of people take some time away from the sim leagues to enjoy time with friends and family.
Also, the offseason isn't as bad as you may find it as there are plenty of things to do, such as free agency, the entry draft, these two things will take majority of the summer to complete anyways, so I don't understand why you are wanting a second season within weeks of finishing another season.
I believe that keeping it like it is will benefit everyone.

Never been a big fane of leagues that double up in terms of two sim seasons for every one NHL season. My preference is to leave it at 1 SIM season per one NHL season. Need time to decompress from being on the BOD for one league and now maybe another as well as PA for RFA's on one league I am in. I voted 1 SIM season for 1 NHL season.

I agree with what most are saying. One season is good enough, especially if we do the draft like we did last summer. I think it took us 2 months. I think the offseason being as long as it is is fine. We have free agency which will be busy then die off a bit and everyone gets a break and is ready for it again in september.
I am also not against simming more then 1 day at a time , as long as we have the NHL schedule. Right now we see teams playing 4 or 5 games in a row, and if there is an injury in the first game, the sim will call up who ever they want for the second game. Also how will waivers work in this case? if we have 2 sim days to claim them, couldnt someone waive someone and since we sim 2 days, the player clears waivers?

Actually, in the two-seasons a year UHL, the summer is pretty clear. We're currently half way through season 2, although part of that is John playing two games a day during the week and one on the weekend. I'm not sure how the league would feel about that, but there's no reason you can't have the summers AND two seasons a year (personally, I like the idea of having three seasons year, but I get punted into the wall in turn 4 every time I suggest that. ;D)

I also am in the uhl , we do 2 season and i like it , but in the tfnhl its a 1 season deal .The 2 things are really different . I dint run the 2 teams the same way.Has John and Damien can see i am not that active int the uhl .And i would have to add that i have 2 young daughters 3years Old and one and half years old, my girlfreind has 1 4 years old and we are expecting another child this year.Plus i have tones of renovations to do.
In my opinion tfnhl is a 1 season league , both are fun but Tfnhl is a 1 schudule season.
